Internet computers
Internet computers at Gore and Mataura libraries are free of charge. The network is provided by the National Library of New Zealand via the Aotearoa People’s Network Kaharoa (APNK).
Each session is 30 minutes. Gore District Libraries reserve the right to limit the number of sessions per customer per day. Children and teens (under 18) up to maximum one hour per day View terms of usage
Computers shut down 10 minutes before closing time.
Headsets are available - please ask staff.
Gore Library also has computers specifically for Ancestry.com, Britannica Kids and Tumblebooks for kids.
Wi-Fi
Free Wi-Fi is available in the libraries during opening hours and outside the library 24/7.
Enable your wireless and select APNK Library. The secure access password is apnk2765. At the APNK welcome page accept the terms and conditions to continue.
Device charging
There are no facilities for charging devices within the temporary library.
Printing
You can print from the internet computers. Printing charges apply.
Library catalogue
Search the library catalogue, place reserves and renew your books by clicking 'LOGIN' in the top right hand corner at gorelibraries.govt.nz
Login is your library card number (use lower case b), default password is l1brary (1 instead of i)
Self-issue
Issue your books with a librarian or at the Gore Library self-issue.
Photocopier/printer / Scanner
Black and colour copying and printing View fees and charges There is no charge to scan to email.
Interloan
If you want a book or article not held by Gore Libraries we may be able to borrow it from another NZ library; minimum $5 fee.
Housebound
If it is difficult for you to visit the library and you do not have someone who can choose and deliver your books, contact the Gore Housebound Librarian on 03 203 9129 or by email. For more information click here.
Justice of the Peace
Need a Justice of the Peace to help with a document?
Every Wednesday from 6.30-7.30pm a JP will be at the Gore Public Library, Ardwick Street, Gore to help you. No appointment necessary.
