Nighttime Christmas StoryTime at the Gore Library!
Wednesday 18 December, 6:30pm - 7:30pm.
Listen to some festive stories, and finish the night with a Christmas craft.

Kids Clubs
BrickTime Club is a monthly session where kids age 5-10 years can come and get creative and have fun with building bricks. The sessions will be held on the first Wednesday of the month at Gore Library 3:30pm-4:30pm.
CraftTime Club is a monthly session where kids age 5-10 years can come and get creative and have fun with craft materials. The sessions will be held on the second Wednesday of the month 3.30 - 4.30pm, at Gore Library.
Important information -
- Caregivers must remain onsite during sessions
- NO reservation needed!
Storytime
Reading aloud to children of all ages is a vital part of any good reading programme. It's enjoyable, stimulates interest, imagination and language, and exposes them to the joys of reading.
Our Storytime is a mix of stories and interactive rhyme.
Aimed at 2-5 years. Free, weekly sessions, term time only.

The Hell Pizza Reading Challenge returns for 2024!
For every seven books children read, they can earn a free 333 pizza at HELL pizza.
How does it work?
- Pop into the library and ask for a "Pizza wheel"
- Read and tell a librarian about your book and you will get a ‘punch’ on your wheel
- Read seven books & get seven ‘punches’ then take your Pizza wheel to HELL pizza to redeem a 333 pizza
Challenge rules
- The Pizza Wheel challenge is for children in Primary Years 1-8 only
- It runs until 31 January 2025
- Your child can complete as many pizza wheels as they want
Bored after school? Come to Thursday Club!
Every Thursday, during term time. 3:45 - 4:45pm. Mataura Library.
Each week will bring something new! Will it be crafts this week? Board games? Lego challenges? A book mystery to solve? Come along and find out!
No bookings required. Free to attend. Recommended for children aged 5 - 12, but all welcome. Children must be supervised by an parent/guardian at all times.
No need to spend after school bored when there's Thursday Club!
